Using a pack of 40 7" squares of 'Calypso' a fabric range designed by Jennifer Sampou.
While I was visiting Canberra in early 1999, Kathryn H and I bought a packet each of these fabrics, that evening while admiring and fondling them Kathryn said there would be no way of using these fabrics on the same quilt because of the different greens, different reds, different blues and yellows. Driving back to Sydney I kept remembering my fathers words... 'there's no such word as can't' he used to say so I started designing my quilt. When I got home I rang Kathryn and challenged her to put the fabrics in one quilt using only one other fabric... I think black was mentioned! This is how the Kambrachallenge started.
